Join our intrepid crew, of three women and three men, as they build the set for the upcoming production of . . "what was the name of that show?" Michelle, who is in charge of the construction, knows what she has to do but, is immediately confronted with a mutiny as everyone wants to be in charge. One by one, the crew goes on strike. After much discussion and confusion, the strike it settled, except for Ashley who cannot seem to make up her mind if she's on strike or unstrike, and one by one the others get a shot at being in charge. It quickly evolves that only Michelle knows what to do, so the crew goes to work with Michelle in charge.
But, the best laid plans of mice and men are sometimes summarily hammered flat by the fickle hammer of fate, and this certainly is no exception. Our undaunted set builders act, sing, tell stories, stumble, fall, visit the beer cooler, misplace their tools and, in general, do all of the things that normally occur during the set construction.
Michelle is beside herself with worry as injuries begin to plague the crew and one after another, our heroes and heroines take on the appearance of the walking wounded. Thank goodness for "Doc-In-The-Box", which is located a half block away.
But perseverance and dedication prevail and the set is completed. Or is it? I guess it depends on which set you are building, or think you are building.
The play requires one simple set and a cast of three men and three women.
