Welcome to The Forgotten Precinct, home of Jim Bob Cagney and my theatrical works. Whether you are looking for a comedy, full length play, one-act play, serious drama or murder mystery, you have come to the right place. Comedies in Two Acts, include Forgotten Precinct, No Time For Termites, Retired But Not Forgotten, The Council Meeting, The Set and The Untimely Ghost. Promises Kept is an excellent One-Act Drama for theater or competition as it has a cast of four and a very simple set. My latest work is Who Killed Beaufort T. Peacock, an Interactive Murder Mystery. Works in progress include The (Un)Usual Suspects and Retreat From Hell.
Click on the links above to read a synopsis of each of these plays. You'll be glad you did. Whether you work in a theater or work in a theatre, these plays will work for you. Uh, right Yogi.
These plays are available for production at very reasonable rates. Simply contact me or Jim Bob via the link above.

Bio
Who am I? Well, some folks call me Jim Bob, from my role in Forgotten Precinct. In real life, I am a retired U.S. Customs Special Agent living in Coastal Georgia. I have been performing and writing plays since 1998 and am a Member of the Dramatist Guild of America. I have had several plays produced in dinner theatre and community theatre. I had several non-fiction articles published in Customs Today, the official magazine of the U.S. Customs Service (back when there was a Customs Service), The Islander Newspaper and also had one poem published in CATS Magazine.
Now that I am retired, I enjoy my hobbies of Acting, Play Writing, Singing, Guitar, Wood Carving, and working in my yard. In addition to these hobbies, I serve as a butler, valet, chef and doorman to two very demanding cats. Oh, and in my spare time, I volunteer at M.A.P. International (map.org). |
